Pretty little girl getting ready to go out

I have got to buy that girl some big-kid underwear!

Abby has been pretty much potty-training herself, without much help from us (I still feel like she's just way too little!). This morning I was working in the kitchen and she carried her little training potty (which is at least half as big as she is) all the way to the kitchen, set it down and pulled on my leg and said "pee-pee"! And sure enough, she did have to.

Maybe next time we're at the store we'd better pick up some big-girl underwear for her! If she wants to train before this baby is born, I'm not going to argue!

Live typhoid, anyone?

If you find yourself with a hankering for live typhoid, stop on by our place! Greg's been getting all kinds of shots and pills for his trip to Guinea, West Africa in March, and evidently the typhoid medicine comes in pill form (and has to be refrigerated). Oh, looks like we've got some 'effervescent drink' designed to protect against traveller's diahrrea as well!

Can't say I expected to find 'live typhoid virus' when I opened my cheese drawer! ;)

I don't think you're supposed to be able to do this...

We woke up yesterday to a 'little bit' (close to an inch in places) of freezing rain - whee! We sent Gavin out to play...with his hockey helmet on.

We finally did it!

After talking about it for several months, I finally just took the plunge and cut Abby's bangs last night - her first haircut at almost 19 months old! I think it looks pretty decent, and at least we can see her eyes clearly now! I curled her bangs all pretty for church this morning and everyone thought she looked very cute (although of course she totally wrecked her hair by the time she'd been there 15 minutes playing). :)
