Gavin the pianist

Gavin is really doing well with his piano lessons! He certainly has his days where he whines and complains and huffs and puffs through his short daily practice time, but overall I think he would say he enjoys it, and he's so fun to watch when he figures something out and gets really excited about it. :)

Here's a short video of him playing one of his recent songs - Holy, Holy, Holy. He's already played offertory in church twice, and this might be what he'll play next time it's his turn on the schedule.

Greg has a pair of oversized puppy slippers that Rachel absolutely adores! Whenever he comes out with them on, Rachel throws herself at his feet and gives the puppies hugs and kisses. I finally remembered to take a video of her playing with the puppies - she was kind of distracted, but you can see a glimpse of how much she loves them! ;)

In case you don't speak toddler-ease, she's saying 'come here' to the puppies, and then she thinks one of their mouths is 'broke.' Later on she tells them to 'stay.'

These couple of recent pictures capture Rachel's personality so well!! The 'hat' she's wearing in the bathroom picture is actually the top of the popcorn popper...she found it in the cupboard one day a few months ago, and it fits perfectly! She wears it at least for a couple hours every day - what a goof!

She loves to brush her teeth, and since she figured out both regular door handles and child-protected door handles within the span of a couple of days, we often find her digging in the bathroom drawers for her toothbrush.

Rachel is our first 'paci baby' - she LOVES her soother! She's only allowed to have it for naptime and bedtime, but she's become very tricky at trying to get it during the day! Sometimes she asks for 'crib' just so she can sit there and have a bit of a suck on the paci! Today I found her sitting at the end of the hallway with her paci in her mouth - she must have been able to reach it in her crib! I did take it away, but had to take a picture first. She's got her eyes closed - I think she was trying to hide from me - if she can't see me, I must not be able to see her, right??? :)

I've realized that if I don't leave my camera sitting out, I just don't get around to taking any pictures! I've left it up on the top of the piano for the last week or so, and I've probably taken more than I have in the last two months! *Ü*

Watch out - it's gonna blow!!

Gavin loves any kind of science, and the last time we went to the library he got a book called 'Science School.' He's been having a lot of fun doing many of the experiments from the book, including a volcano!
